Resilience of adolescents in physical activity during the covid-19 pandemic: a preliminary case study in France

Purpose: The objective of this study was to examine how adolescents' physical activity (PA) changed during the COVID-19 crisis according level intensity and whether there are typologies resilience based on individual environmental characteristics. Methods: A longitudinal follow-up PA in a representative sample French adolescents (n=808, 16.32±1.01 years old) carried out. Two online surveys collecting reported data amounts were completed week before first lockdown. Results: Three identified characterized by multifactorial process: active, studious rural (37%) increase MVPA (+707 Mets·week-1, p<0.05), inactive, underachieving (32%) stability (0 NS) urban (31%) decrease (-237 p<0.05). Conclusion: This investigated temporal complexity socio-ecological anchoring, suggesting that factors linked availability green environments (environmental determinants), good pedagogical follow up (interpersonal determinant) high initial involvement (individual determinant).
